New feeding units for street animals in Alanya
Alanya Municipality has created 80 new feeding units in park and green areas for street animals, which are deprived of help and love from citizens due to coronavirus.
Alanya Municipality has not forgotten the street friends who are deprived of most of the aid from the citizens as a result of various restrictions taken within the scope of COVID-19 (New type coronavirus) measures that affect the whole world. For stray animals, a nutrition unit was created at 80 new locations in Alanya by the Alanya Municipality Veterinary Affairs Directorate. Thanks to the points where regular food supplements are made every day, it is aimed to continue the diet of animal friends living on the streets.
Providing information about the work carried out, Alanya Municipality Veterinary Affairs Manager Saim Kanlı said, “As Alanya Municipality Veterinary Affairs, we are trying to do our best in this process. Like humans, animals have a soul. Unfortunately, the help and love that our street friends received from our citizens who could not leave their houses due to the virus were somewhat lacking. We are also working diligently for street animals. ”
“Almost all parks and gardens in Alanya have been turned into a feeding point for street animals, ”said Kanlı, adding that 80 new feeding units have been created with the support received from the Directorate of Parks and Gardens of Alanya Municipality. Kanlı stated that these units are inspected daily and their food and water needs are met.
Stating that they are working in line with coronavirus measures in Alanya Municipality Demirtaş Animal Temporary Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Manager Kanlı said, “There are disinfectant procedures twice a week. The issue of cleaning and hygiene is carried out with the utmost care. The reliability of our work has been documented as a result of the inspections carried out by the Nature Conservation and the National Parks Directorate. ”
